In 2013 we had a wonderful time at the Spring Chapter Event in Richmond on Saturday, March 2 at the Sheraton Hotel.  School districts from all over the province, including Haida Gwaii, Prince George, Creston, Peace River South, from the north end of Vancouver Island to the south, Cranbrook, Surrey, Vancouver and many more were represented.  We talked about what inspired us as teachers and in turn we were inspired by others.

Primary teachers were treated to a presentation from Maureen Dockendorf  about the Changing Results for Young Readers initiative from the Ministry of Education, as well as the new Primary 0-8 Framework  and a discussion about new curriculum development.

Faye Brownlie also joined us to shared the 6 Things Every Child, Every Day should receive in effective reading instruction.
