2015 BCTPA Fall Leadership Conference
The BCTF and the Primary PSA is holding a webinar to discuss the implementation of Full-Day Kindergarten (FDK) on Wednesday May 13, 2015, from 4:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. The panelists for the webinar will be Jim Iker, President BCTF, Janine Fraser, President BCPTA, and Carol Johns, Kindergarten teacher and executive member of BCPTA.
This webinar is open to any teacher interested in hearing about, and contributing to, discussion on full-day kindergarten in BC. The topics will include
- teacher workload
- gradual entry models
- the impact of FDK on existing Aboriginal programs
- the impact of FDK on other primary classes, and the rest of the school
- the resourcing of K rooms to allow for play-based programs in the full day model.
